“We’re all stories in the end, just make it a good one, eh?”

-The 11th Doctor from ‘Doctor Who’

I am Melissa (they/them) and I collaboratively navigate clients through life challenges and personal development with self affirmation and actualization.

I am a Limited Licensed Counselor in the state of Michigan. I graduated from Oakland University in 2022 with my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My focus of study was primarily on LGBTQIA2S+ clients, specifically on supporting Transgender, Gender Expansive, and Nonbinary folks. I have volunteered with Stand with Trans in the past and have presented workshops on empowering LGBTQIA2S+ clients.

My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and client centered. I welcome collaboration and curiosity from a place of mutual respect and care. My perspectives come from an intersectional queer feminist lens, understanding that we all exist within systematic forces which impact us everyday. I am a neurodivergent genderqueer person and these identities inform my work. When I am not meeting with clients, I love to take walks with my dog, sew with fun fabric, knit loud hats, draw my dreams, and play board games with friends.
